Mr. William S. Harris, Sr.

Mr. William S. Harris, Sr. is the Chairman for the Board Members of the State Department of Technical and Adult Education. He represents the 2nd Congressional District. Bill also has many other business and civic associations under his belt. He is the Chairman of Board of Directors for both Glover Wholesale Company and Covenant Construction Company. He is the Chairman of Southwest Georgia Healthcare Resources, Inc. as well as Americus and Sumter County Development Corporation. Bill also serves as the President for the Boys and Girls Club of Sumter County, Trustee for GSW and as a Board member for Americus and Sumter County Chamber of Commerce and First United Methodist Church. 

Bill graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Information Management in 1959. He is also a graduate of Banking School of the South at LSU. Bill is a recipient of the James R. Blair Humanitarian Award.
