UNDERGRADUATE ROGRAMS
The School of Business
Administration is a member of and accredited by the International
Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). The School of Business
is also a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
- International (AACSB) and currently in the third year of candidacy status.
The BBA in Accounting is designed
to prepare students for the numerous types of positions available in the
accounting field. The program emphasizes the broad-based learning that is
required to be successful in this field. The Accounting program includes
course requirements to qualify for the CPA examination.
The BBA in Human Resource Management
has been designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for
successful entry into Human Resource management positions. The program equips
students with the training to enter into careers such as health and safety
administration, recruiting and training for profit and not-for-profit
organizations..
The BBA in Management is designed
to give students objective knowledge and skills development in the major
functional areas of management: planning organizing, leading and controlling.
The Management concentration allows the graduate flexibility in career
opportunities, and is an excellent choice for the individual who may want to
start his or her own business.
The BBA in Marketing is designed to
stress the importance of creating and maintaining successful relationships
with customers. Upon completion of this program, the students will be
prepared to begin careers in sales, advertising, planning or self-employment.
UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
All BBA/BAS degree recipients must satisfy a common set of degree
requirements as well as requirements specific to the major area. Overall BBA
degree requirements are as follows:
- Satisfy University-specific requirements for the
general education requirements of the General Core Curriculum, including
all specifications for minimum acceptable grades in certain courses.
- Satisfy University-specific and University
System-specific requirements for particular competencies and/or courses
(physical education, Regents' examinations, history government,
geographic knowledge, etc.).
- Satisfy School-specific requirements for basic and
specialized courses and minimum grades for Area F of the General Core
Curriculum, the Business Core, and the major field of study. A grade of C is the minimum acceptable student
performance for courses in these categories.
- Satisfy University requirements for minimum number
of credit hours and grade point average.
